1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (first and last)
  • Password (encrypted)

1.2 OAuth Information

If you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from your Google account profile.

1.3 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information. We store only:

  • Last 4 digits of your card
  • Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Billing information necessary for invoicing

1.4 Usage Data

We collect information about how you use our service:

  • Saved scans and watchlists
  • Stock screening queries
  • User preferences (theme, chart settings)
  • IP address and browser information

1.5 API Credentials and Scan Activity

If you create an API key, we keep a record for it:

  • A label you choose
  • A non-secret prefix
  • The permissions granted when the key was created
  • The timestamps for creation, expiration, last use, and revocation

Only a hash of the key is stored; the key itself is shown to you once and not kept. A revoked or expired key's record is kept, not removed.

We also record each scan you run, whether from the browser or through an API key: the scan expression, your account, when it ran, and which credential ran it.

1.6 Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our service. This includes page views, session duration, and general usage patterns.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain our stock scanning service
  • Process your subscription payments
  • Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing notifications)
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Improve our service and develop new features
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

  • Stripe: Payment processing - we share your name, email, and billing information necessary to process subscription payments
  • Google Analytics: Usage analytics - we share anonymized usage data including page views, session duration, and interaction patterns
  • Email Service: Transactional email delivery - we share your email address and name to send account verification, password reset, and billing notifications

3.2 Data Sources

We retrieve stock market data from third-party data providers but do not share any of your personal information with these providers. These are read-only data sources.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order.

4. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your information:

  • Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard hashing
  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Regular security updates and monitoring
  • Limited employee access to user data

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Account Access

You can access and update your account information at any time through your profile page.

5.2 Data Export

You can request a copy of your data by contacting us at support@stocksfast.io.

5.3 Account Deletion

You can request that we delete your account by contacting us. If you have never created an API key, this deletes your account and the activity recorded under it.

If you have created an API key, we cannot delete your account. This holds whether the key is still active or has been revoked or expired. The record described in section 1.5 stays associated with your account, and we have no way to remove it independently of the account it belongs to.

Where deletion does happen, it is permanent and cannot be undone.

5.4 Marketing Communications

We currently do not send marketing emails. All emails are transactional (account verification, billing, security alerts).

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Session management (keeping you logged in)
  • User preferences (theme, chart settings)
  • CSRF protection (security)
  • Analytics (Google Analytics)

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

8. International Users

Our service is operated in the United States. If you access our service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
